Their lives defined by a love for exploration and learning, your guides and companions share their passion for travel and French culture.

Linguist, French Native & Literature Expert

Vincent Renou teaches French language and literature at Rhode Island College, the Wheeler School, and the Alliance Française, all in Providence, RI. For over 20 years he taught elementary and middle school at the French International School of Philadelphia, where he was Assistant Director for 12 years. Born in Tours, France, Mr. Renou grew up in Blois in the Loire Valley, minutes from the famous royal castles. He holds degrees from the Université Rabelais (Tours) and the Ecole Normale du Loir et Cher (Blois), and rounded out his studies at the Barnes Foundation School in Merion, PA, and the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Prior to teaching in Philadelphia, Vincent Renou taught in New York, Baton Rouge, and Canberra, Australia. Vincent lives with his husband, Daniel, in picturesque Tiverton, RI.

Artist, Professor and Cultural Interpreter

Printmaker and painter Daniel Heyman is a recipient of Guggenheim and Pew Fellowships, as well as multiple research grants from Princeton University and the Rhode Island School of Design. He teaches at RISD, Princeton University and the Pennsylvania Academy of Art. His artwork is in over 30 public collections including the Getty Research Institute and the Library of Congress, and has been exhibited in major museums around the country. Daniel, who is fluent in French, has led trips to Japan and France. A graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania, he and Vincent live in Tiverton, RI.
